Duke 81, Louisville 77.
Once again the Louisville Cardinals are one and done in the ACC Tournament. Last time, North Carolina ended the Cards run, this time Duke ended it. The winner was set up to play North Carolina tomorrow in the semi-finals.
The Cardinals were on the edge of blowing Duke out of the game. Louisville held a 12 point lead, the biggest of the game, but was short-lived. Duke went into a zone and Louisville couldn’t attack the paint like it’d been doing all game. Then Luke Kennard does what Luke Kennard does and caught fire in the second half willing Duke to victory.
Surprisingly, Louisville was in the game, and leading for majority of it, despite a bad night from Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell 3-14 from the field including just 1-7 from downtown. Free throw shooting continues to haunt Louisville as well. Shooting just 57%(15-26) from the line.
Deng Adel led the Louisville charge with 21 points. Quentin Snider chipped in 15 points as well. Adel and Snider were the only two Louisville players in double figures.
Now, the Cardinals just wait it out until Selection Sunday. I still believe the Cards will fall on the two-seed line, region now will be up for grabs.
