Louisville got back on the right track with a 20 point victory over ACC foe, Syracuse. Louisville was led by Donovan Mitchell, who led the way with 25 points. Ray Spalding also had a productive game with 18 points and 11 boards in his first start in a while.
Louisville had a pretty good day shooting the basketball. 57% from the field and 45% from three-point range. Louisville played pretty solid and didn’t seem like the loss at North Carolina lingered around.
Syracuse started to full court press and began to dwindle the Cardinals lead from 23 points. The Orange got the lead down to 11 but was never able to get over the that hump as Deng Adel had a period in the second half scoring points in bunches for Louisville, as he broke the Syracuse press and attacked the rim. Adel ended the game with 17 coming off the bench for Louisville.
Louisville is tied with Florida State for second in the ACC as they chase the double-bye in the ACC tournament. Louisville heads to Wake Forest on March 1st for a show down with the Demon Deacons. Tip is at 9:00 PM.
